Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma, vocational school completion, or approved High School Equivalent Certificate.
• Three years of experience in masonry involving brick, stone, and concrete work.
• Three years of experience in plastering.
• Driver’s license valid in New Jersey if vehicle operation is necessary for essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Construct block, stone, and brick walls, manholes, chimneys, columns, partitions, and other structures.
• Erect or supervise scaffolding and ramps; finish joints.
• Build or lay concrete structures such as sidewalks, porches, stairs, and floors.
• Point brick or stone structures; patch plaster or stucco walls and ceilings; repair cracked or broken concrete.
• Use trowels, joiners, edgers, chisels, levels, plumb bobs, vibrators, and concrete mixers.
• Mix cement, mortar, lime, and lime mortar.
