Job Description

We’re hiring a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to join our Global Performance Marketing Transformation & Operations Team to lead the marketing planning process for North America—Sage’s fastest-growing region. You’ll work side-by-side with our VP of Performance Marketing for North America to align business goals with actionable demand generation plans, guide investment decisions, and drive operational improvements that help Sage scale smarter and faster.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner with Sales, Finance, and Marketing leaders, bringing structure, agility, and insight to the marketing execution cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the business planning and budgeting process for regional performance marketing, ensuring plans are reviewed and approved.
  • Drive completion of the annual demand model with the marketing effectiveness team, securing sign-off from regional marketing and revenue teams.
  • Manage ongoing target updates based on performance to keep plans accurate.
  • Oversee investment plan updates as part of the finance process, supporting accruals and reforecasting.
  • Prepare materials for regular business reviews with regional marketing leaders.
  • Guide the regional team in improving marketing spend effectiveness through insights and operational guidance.
  • Maintain and refine lead routing rules for SDR teams, following direction from the regional business unit lead.
  • Establish effective ways of working to maximize the value of outsourced operations.
  • Lead adoption of new martech tools and ensure effective usage by regional teams.
  • Support regional planning and delivery of transformation projects with a marketing perspective.

Location: Hybrid; 3 days per week from either our Austin or Atlanta office

What are we looking for? Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing operations, planning, and strategy, with a proven ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing plans in global or matrixed organizations.
  • Experience owning budgeting processes, working with Finance on forecasting, supplier management, and investment accuracy.
  • Experience leading martech adoption or optimization initiatives to support marketing execution, lead management, and reporting.
  • Managing marketing planning cycles, including quarterly updates and adjustments based on business priorities.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and influence process improvements through clear communication and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of marketing and revenue metrics (MQLs, ROI, CAC, LTV), and proficiency with performance tracking tools.
