RK&K is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to provide marketing leadership for the Baltimore and DC offices. You will lead pursuits, shape strategy, and support proposals, presentations, and thought leadership to strengthen RK&K's market presence.

The role collaborates with directors, technical leaders, and marketing staff across a large multi-disciplinary office. A 10+ year track record in A/E/C marketing and strong writing skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading proposal development, pursuit strategy, and marketing efforts within the A/E/C industry.
• Proven success leading complex, high-visibility pursuits and presentations from early planning through final delivery.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to earn trust and work effectively with technical professionals and firm leaders.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, interviewing, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the judgment to balance multiple priorities, teams, and deadlines.
• Sound knowledge of proposal compliance, content development, page layout, production, and interview preparation.

Job description

RK&K is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and proactive Senior Marketing Manager to provide marketing leadership in our Baltimore and DC offices. This role is ideal for an experienced A/E/C marketing professional who enjoys building relationships, anticipating pursuit needs, and partnering with technical leaders to shape winning strategies, proposals, presentations, and other efforts that strengthen RK&K's presence in the market.

You'll work closely with Baltimore and DC directors, technical leaders, and marketing staff across a large, multi-disciplinary office. Success in this role requires someone who is naturally curious, takes initiative, connects easily with people, and can help teams stay organized and plan ahead in a fast-paced environment.

The preferred candidate will possess 10+ years of experience and demonstrated knowledge of the A/E/C industry.

In this role, you'll lead high-priority pursuits and presentations, guide strategy for other opportunities, and help the Baltimore team identify needs early. You'll also support conference planning, social media, thought leadership, and other activities that showcase RK&K's people and expertise. Working in partnership with the existing Baltimore and DC marketing team, you'll strengthen pursuit planning and technical engagement while supporting a collaborative, well-coordinated team.

Essential Functions

• Build strong relationships with Baltimore and DC partners, directors, technical leaders, and marketing staff, serving as a trusted marketing resource.
• Proactively manage the Baltimore and DC pursuit lists, monitor upcoming opportunities, and identify staffing, strategy, and resource needs early.
• Lead high-priority and "must-win" pursuits, and presentations.
• Guide capture planning and strategy for other priority pursuits through research, positioning, message development, and coordination with technical teams.
• Facilitate pursuit planning meetings, establish clear schedules and responsibilities, and help teams deliver compliant, compelling, and high-quality work.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading proposal development, pursuit strategy, and marketing efforts within the A/E/C industry.
• Proven success leading complex, high-visibility pursuits and presentations from early planning through final delivery.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 15+ years of experience.
• Experience coordinating large, multi-disciplinary pursuits and presentations across multiple offices.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint.
• CPSM certification or another relevant marketing or business development certification.
