Description du poste

Sojern, a RateGain company, is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead marketing for its Global Destinations business, including destination marketing organizations, airports, attractions and other emerging segments.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Marketing, this role serves as the strategic marketing lead for the business, translating commercial priorities, customer needs and industry trends into integrated marketing strategies that drive brand relevance, demand, customer engagement and revenue.

The Senior Marketing Manager owns the development and execution of the annual marketing plan for the segment, spanning global events, integrated campaigns, demand generation, account-based marketing, thought leadership, research, content, industry partnerships and customer engagement.

This is a highly cross-functional and hands-on role. The ideal candidate is an exceptional project manager, strong writer and experienced global event marketer who can also operate as a broad-based segment marketing leader. They can move fluidly between strategy and execution, manage multiple complex global initiatives simultaneously, and bring structure and momentum to work involving teams across the organization.

Global Events & Industry Marketing

Lead the Tier One strategy, planning and execution for Sojern’s presence at priority global industry events, conferences, sponsorships and customer programs.

Partner with commercial leadership to determine which events, sponsorships, speaking opportunities and industry partnerships best support business objectives.

Manage major event programs from planning through execution, including project plans, timelines, deliverables, budgets, vendors, speakers and cross-functional stakeholders.

Develop integrated pre-event, onsite and post-event strategies that maximize customer engagement, brand visibility, demand generation and commercial impact.

Lead event content development, including session concepts, speaking abstracts, presentations, executive talking points, customer panels, workshops and supporting materials.

Develop marketing and content strategies for major industry organizations, including Destinations International, U.S. Travel Association, CityDNA, City Nation Place and other regional and global partners.

Lead marketing strategy and program management for Sojern’s destination advisory boards, including agendas, programming, speakers, communications and year-round engagement.

Evaluate event and program performance and ROI to inform future sponsorship and investment decisions.

Marketing Strategy & Integrated Campaigns

Own the annual marketing strategy and integrated marketing plan for the Destinations business, aligning priorities, programs and investment with commercial goals.

Develop distinct marketing strategies for key and emerging segments, including destination marketing organizations, airports and attractions, informed by customer needs, industry trends, geographic considerations, seasonality and audience insights.

Develop and execute integrated, full-funnel marketing programs across events, content, email, paid media, social, web, webinars, retargeting and other channels to support acquisition, engagement, retention and expansion.

Develop account-based marketing strategies for priority accounts and market segments.

Develop and manage marketing budgets and recommend investment across programs and channels based on business priorities and performance.

Serve as the primary strategic marketing partner to the Destinations commercial organization, maintaining a strong understanding of sales priorities, customer needs, market challenges and pipeline opportunities.

Translate commercial needs into scalable marketing programs rather than one-off deliverables wherever possible.

Partner with Digital Marketing and Marketing Operations on campaign activation, lead routing, tracking, reporting and optimization, using campaign, pipeline, engagement and ROI data to refine marketing strategy.

Ensure marketing programs and content are relevant across global markets, including localization, regional market fit and geographic nuances.

Partner with Product Marketing to activate approved product positioning, messaging, sales enablement and customer stories across campaigns, content, events and customer communications.

Content, Research & Thought Leadership

Lead Sojern’s destination-focused thought leadership strategy, identifying topics and insights that strengthen Sojern’s position within the industry.

Own the strategy and marketing activation of Sojern’s flagship State of Destination Marketing research program, including research direction, project management, industry partnerships, distribution, regional activation, paid promotion, events and ongoing content development.

Develop and manage strategic research partnerships with tourism associations, research organizations, customers and industry partners.

Translate proprietary data, research, customer insights and industry trends into compelling stories for campaigns, presentations, events, PR, digital content and commercial conversations.

Personally develop and edit high-quality marketing content, including presentations, articles, reports, newsletters, event materials, executive thought leadership and campaign copy.

Identify opportunities to extend major research and content investments across multiple channels and throughout the year.

Partner with Content and Communications teams on blogs, reports, newsletters, PR opportunities, social content, webinars and executive thought leadership.

Ensure content is clear, compelling, accurate and relevant to the Destinations audience.

Project Management & Cross-Functional Leadership

Lead complex global marketing initiatives involving stakeholders across Sales, Product Marketing, Content, Digital, Communications, Insights, Design, Marketing Operations, executives, customers and external partners.

Establish clear project plans, timelines, ownership, dependencies, deliverables and success metrics for major marketing programs.

Serve as the central point of coordination for major Destinations marketing initiatives, keeping stakeholders aligned and projects moving from strategy through execution.

Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining strategic alignment, execution quality, deadlines and attention to detail.

Identify risks, dependencies and roadblocks early and drive them toward resolution.

Manage and coordinate agencies, vendors, research partners, industry organizations and other external stakeholders as needed.

Establish repeatable processes and workflows that improve execution and reduce unnecessary one-off work.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.

7+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably within travel, advertising, media, SaaS or technology, with strong knowledge of destination marketing and the broader travel and tourism industry.

Strong project and program management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.

Experience planning and executing global conferences, sponsorships, customer programs and other B2B events.

Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling and presentation skills, with experience personally developing high-quality marketing content.

Demonstrated experience developing segment or vertical marketing strategies and integrated campaigns across content, events, email, paid media and other channels.

Experience with thought leadership, research activation, account-based marketing and demand generation, including the ability to use performance data to inform strategy and investment.

Strong experience partnering with Sales, executives and cross-functional teams and managing agencies, vendors and external partners.

Experience using marketing and sales technology such as Salesforce, Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot), Google Ads, LinkedIn Advertising and Asana.
