Job summary

Zip is seeking a Marketing Scientist to own foundational marketing ML models and frameworks that connect customer behavior, marketing strategy, and business outcomes. You will shape acquisition, retention, and budget allocation by deploying models and decisioning frameworks.

You will lead the translation of model insights into concrete actions, partnering with engineering, product, and marketing teams while communicating complex results clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science.
• 3+ years applying Data Science to marketing.
• Hands-on experience with Marketing Mix Modeling and/or multi-touch attribution.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Experience with ML/AI frameworks and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own and advance Zip's foundational marketing ML models and frameworks at the intersection of customer behavior, marketing, business strategy, and AI.
• Translate model outputs into actionable recommendations and prioritization across teams.
• Provide technical leadership and peer review to data scientists and analysts.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate insights into decisions and investments.
