Job summary

Gunvor Group seeks a Senior Market Risk Analyst — Gas & Power to own day-to-day market risk monitoring for gas and power portfolios across the Americas. You will provide timely analysis and risk reporting, partnering with trading desks, middle office, compliance, finance, and ops to ensure disciplined risk-taking and robust controls.

The role is a senior individual contributor with a clear path to management as the team grows, requiring strong quantitative skills and experience with VaR, P&L

Qualifications

• Candidates must monitor gas and power market risk with strong quantitative skills.
• Proven experience producing risk reporting and P&L attribution.
• Experience with both physical and financial gas/power products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Market Risk Monitoring & Limits: monitor intraday and end-of-day exposures and enforce limits.
• Stress Testing & Scenario Analysis: design and run stress tests and assess portfolio resilience.
• Trade Capture & Valuation Oversight: review model inputs and validate valuation methods.
• Reporting & Controls: maintain governance, audit trails, and compliance with risk policies.
• Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory: provide real-time risk support to traders and desk heads.
