Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Market Risk Analyst III (Advisor, Product Control) in Houston to provide specialist market risk analysis for commodity exposures and trading activities. You will join a collaborative team that monitors positions, enforces risk limits, and supports data-driven decisions.

The role covers producing daily risk reports, calculating VaR and stress tests, validating prices, and delivering clear risk insights to trading, product control, and finance partners.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field
• 3+ years in market risk, product control, middle office, finance, or accounting
• Experience leading cross-functional stakeholders with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Produce timely daily risk exposure reports for trading portfolios and show key drivers of change
• Calculate and interpret VaR, back-tests, stress and scenario analyses
• Monitor risk parameters and trading limits; investigate deviations and escalate as needed
• Develop, test, and maintain market risk procedures and documentation for compliance
• Collect, cleanse, and analyze data to validate prices, forward curves, and P&L explanations
• Prepare clear, structured risk reports and presentations for stakeholders
• Support internal controls by following established controls and escalating issues
• Build market risk capabilities through learning and tool adoption
