Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills with experience handling large datasets.
• Good communication and ability to explain complex analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of electric power systems, generation planning, resource adequacy, reliability analysis, and energy markets.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains working relationships with internal and external contacts in support of data describing key market factors.
• Formulates inputs to electric sector modeling tools and assists in modeling efforts.
• Maintains electric sector models and proprietary tools with up-to-date market intelligence.
• Performs market simulations and develops long-term power market forecasts for development, M&A, and asset management.
• Develops proprietary modeling tools and methodologies to analyze evolving markets and impacts on business.
• Analyzes market, historical, and fundamental data to draw inferences and present results clearly to management and external customers.
• Provides training to junior modeling staff.
