Job summary

Medtronic seeks a Senior Market Access Analytics Specialist to join the Corporate HEPR team in the United States. You will develop and execute market access analytics using large healthcare datasets, including price transparency, claims data, and HEOR assets, to inform reimbursement strategies.

You will write SQL, manage data, build dashboards, and translate complex findings into actionable insights for cross-functional partners such as marketing, pricing and strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of healthcare analytics experience or 2 years with an advanced degree.
• Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Health Informatics, Epidemiology or related quantitative field.
• Experience with price transparency data and administrative claims data; able to write SQL for large datasets.
• Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, DRG, APC, revenue codes, NPI, payer, provider concepts.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate uncertainty clearly.
• Summarize quantitative findings for non-technical stakeholders; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
• Experience using a cloud hosted analytic environment; statistics software: SAS, R, Python, Stata.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau; developing reusable code libraries and scalable dashboards.
• Experience analyzing healthcare spending or market dynamics; supporting HEOR, market access, pricing, or commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytics using large healthcare datasets including price transparency and claims data.
• Query and summarize data to evaluate reimbursement variation across procedures, devices, payers, and sites of care.
• Develop analytic datasets and reproducible code for payer/provider reimbursement analysis.
• Collaborate with HEPR, pricing, marketing, strategy, and operating units to translate business questions into analytic approaches.
• Assist in developing dashboards, tables, figures, and reports for cross-functional audiences.
• Support scalable analytic workflows and documentation for transparency and governance.
