Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an On-Call/Casual Sr. Principal Maritime Test Engineer for our Stevensville, MD field-site supporting the Annapolis, MD team.

The role will conduct development tests aboard ships in the Chesapeake Bay and North Atlantic, handling deck operations and vessel modifications as needed. The candidate will work year-round on open water, perform pre-test planning and safety assessments, and ensure test activities integrate sonar, radar, navigation, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience; Masters degree with 6 years' relevant experience also considered.
• Experience in Commercial/DOW Maritime.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Conduct development test activities aboard ship in the Chesapeake Bay, Delaware Bay, and North Atlantic.
• Lead deck operations, including rigging and critical lift and pre-test planning.
• Perform all engineering activities for vessel modifications and installations of units under test on ships and boats.
