Qualifications

• Must be NMFS Fisheries Observer certified or eligible.
• Able to work Monday-Friday including nights, some weekends, and some holidays.
• Must lift 50 pounds and drag a 200 lb carcass.
• Valid driver''s license.
• Proficient with MS Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise observer cadre across New England.
• Coordinate trips between vessels and observers while considering safety and scheduling needs.
• Arrange transportation from ports; travel up to 8 hours daily.
• Ensure observers submit required data and reports in a timely manner.
• Attend trainings and participate in conferences to present results.
• Maintain NEFOP certifications and coordinate port samplers.
