Job summary

Seafarer Marine Insurance Limited is seeking a Senior Underwriter to launch and grow its UK and EU marine business. This market-facing role focuses on building a broker network, underwriting yacht and marine hull risks, and establishing the Seafarer Marine presence in London and beyond.

You should bring an established book and strong broker relationships, with at least five years in marine hull underwriting and familiarity with Lloyd's and delegated authority frameworks.

Qualifications

• Five+ years’ experience in marine hull underwriting.
• Established London Market broker relationships.
• Strong technical capability in risk assessment, pricing, and policy structuring.
• Experience with delegated authority MGA/coverholder.
• Familiarity with Lloyd’s Market reporting and bordereaux production.
• CII qualification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish the broker distribution network for Seafarer Marine Limited in the UK and EU.
• Drive new business acquisition and retention with brokers, negotiating participation, pricing and terms.
• Bring an existing marine hull portfolio to Seafarer Marine Limited for a ready-to-grow UK book.
• Represent Seafarer Marine at broker meetings, industry events and client engagements in London Market.
• Underwrite yacht and marine hull risks to meet profitability targets and ensure pricing discipline.
• Maintain compliance with delegated authority frameworks and regulatory requirements.
