Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC in Baltimore, MD seeks a senior-level Marine Propulsion Engineer to support USCG Ship Design Team. Onsite role with occasional hybrid flex after probation. Requires6+ years in marine propulsion and related design, and U.S.

shipbuilding program experience. Responsibilities include developing propulsion systems, machinery arrangements, weight analyses, and trade studies, plus documenting system designs and ship specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• At least six (6) years of progressive Marine Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Experience with ship propulsion and control systems, machinery arrangements, and propulsion trade studies.
• At least one (1) year in U.S. Federal or commercial shipbuilding acquisition programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design support and documentation for ship machinery and propulsion systems.
• Develop ship propulsion systems concepts including diesel, gas turbine, diesel-electric, and related components.
• Develop system documentation and ship specifications.
• Review machinery arrangements and conduct propulsion trade studies.
