Biglift Amstel B.V. is seeking a Project Engineer to drive marine heavy transport projects from concept to completion. The role is primarily office-based, with worldwide site support as needed, working closely with engineering and operations to develop safe, innovative solutions.

Key duties include planning, hydrostatic/hydrodynamic analyses, ballasting design, and coordinating subcontracted steel work from fabrication to delivery. Travel worldwide and a hands-on deck presence may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the maritime or offshore sector.
• Affinity with Heavy Transport Vessels and knowledge of industry standards (e.g., DNVGL-ST-N001).
• Willingness to travel internationally; fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from concept to completion, coordinating with engineering and operations teams.
• Prepare and execute marine heavy transport projects and ballasting plans.
• Perform hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analyses and design project-specific systems.
• Coordinate subcontracted steel work from fabrication to delivery.
• Work hands-on on deck when required and contribute innovative solutions.
• Shape projects with ownership of safe and successful execution.
