Job summary

Bass Pro Shops’ White River Marine Group in Springfield, MO, is seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to lead aesthetic and ergonomic development of world-class marine products. You will drive concept to production, coordinate with engineering, and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver innovative solutions that differentiate our brands.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in marine or consumer product design, strong 2D/3D visualization, and proficiency in CAD tools and Adobe

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in the design of marine, recreational, transportation or consumer products.
• Professionally developed design and presentation skills including conceptual sketches, product renderings, 3D CAD and graphic design.
• Proficient in manual and digital sketching.
• Fluent in Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience using 3D CAD software (CATIA, Alias, Blender).
• Experience leading design activity through the development process.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept to production release in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Utilize competitive analysis, consumer and trend research to identify product opportunities.
• Communicate ideas and generate design proposals through ideation sketches and renderings.
• Maintain brand identity through appropriate form and material applications.
• Develop 3D digital theme surface models.
• Create mockups to study ergonomics, packaging, form and function.
• Work with engineering CAD team to establish product packaging criteria.
