You will develop contract plans, specifications, and P&ID drawings, guiding production design and ensuring ABS, USCG, and SOLAS rules are met. Mentoring staff and coordinating with clients are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
• 5–10+ years as a Marine Engineer.
• Knowledge of piping, HVAC, insulation, machinery ventilation, and related systems.
• U.S. citizenship to work in the United States.
• Experience with commercial and government projects is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of ABS, USCG, and SOLAS rules.
• Ability to develop, comprehend, and evaluate contract specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in drawings, analyses, and reports.
• Guide contract plans, specifications, and estimates for projects.
• Produce P&ID drawings for new vessel construction and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with ABS, USCG, SOLAS rules.
• Coordinate with Production Design and Estimating teams.
• Participate in client meetings and develop working relationships.
