Job summary

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and repair activities for its vessel fleet. You will drive safety, RAM programs, and material planning while coordinating with shipyard and engineering teams to minimize downtime and control costs.

The role requires extensive dredging experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple systems across a 24/7 operation. A competitive package includes bonus and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 10 years of clamshell dredging experience and personnel management.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training is required.
• Must be available on-call 24/7.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and Incident and Injury Free culture across maintenance activities.
• Head vessel teams in implementing RAM (Reliability) programs.
• Maintain fleet spare parts inventory and critical spares per Min/Max values.
• Support Superintendents with QC checks, tests, and inspections.
• Schedule and coordinate repairs to fit operations and ensure best value.
• Coordinate with Captains and Dredge Manager on wear items and maintenance planning.
• Provide technical representation during dry-dock repairs and assist in writing specs.
