Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers seeks a skilled supervisor to support the Captain by reviewing dredge plans and orders, planning crew travel and changes, and contributing to the dredge operating budget. You will plan, assign work, and advise on personnel actions including training, performance, and staffing vacancies.

Responsibilities include ensuring all safety requirements are current and followed, coordinating Subchapter M inspections, and supporting deployment of vessel crew and EEO efforts.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience monitoring and/or supporting dredge and/or facility operations day to day.
• Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.
• Combination of Education and Experience to reach 100% qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review dredge plans and dredge orders as prepared by the Dredging Product Delivery Team.
• Plan and coordinate crew travel, locations and movement of dredge crew vehicles, tie-up arrangements, and crew changes.
• Provide input to the dredge operating budget and recommendations.
• Plan and assign work; advise Captain on performance ratings, training, documentation, awards, and staffing vacancies.
• Ensure safety regulations are up to date and followed; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate Subchapter M inspections and compliance.
• Support Captain in deployment of vessel crew and EEO efforts.
