Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 10+ years experience handling claims or as an attorney with litigation experience.
• J.D. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively handle liability claims, primarily bodily injury in marine context, to achieve optimum payouts while resolving claims fairly and expeditiously.
• Assess and analyze coverage issues on claims and issue appropriate coverage letters and documentation.
• Complete timely investigation of claims and post appropriate reserves.
• Pursue risk transfer opportunities, including indemnity and additional insured issues.
• Handle claims in accordance with RLI's Best Practices.
• Travel to mediations, settlement conferences, and/or trials as warranted.
