Job summary

Blackstone Talent Group is seeking a senior estimator with strong marine and/or heavy civil experience. This role will lead estimates, proposals, budgets, and pursuit strategies while collaborating with operations, engineering, BD, and leadership.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in construction estimating, a background in marine/heavy civil projects, and a proven ability to manage multiple pursuits; bachelor’s in civil engineering or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction estimating, preconstruction, and/or operations experience.
• Strong marine construction and/or heavy civil background.
• Experience leading large and complex estimates/proposals.
• Estimating team leadership/management experience.
• Understanding of means, methods, sequencing, and costs.
• Experience with plans, specs, takeoffs, bids, budgets, and proposals.
• Subcontractor/vendor solicitation and proposal evaluation.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and pursuits at the same time.
• Strong communication and client/owner-facing skills.
• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
