Job summary

Weeks Marine, headquartered in Cranford, NJ, seeks an Estimator to compile data and estimate production costs for large, complex marine projects. You will perform material takeoffs, cost analyses, and budgeting while maintaining historical databases and procedures.

Travel to pursue pursuits may be required. The role targets civil and marine construction markets, with base compensation in the six-figure range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy civil marine construction.
• At least 3 years in estimating preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology/Management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans and specifications.
• Perform site visit(s) and meetings with owners/designers.
• Prepare take-offs.
• Prepare budgetary estimates.
• Establish means and methods of construction and perform engineering analyses.
• Prepare costs analyses for portions of the projects.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare construction schedule and perform cash-flow analyses.
• Close out bids and assist in preparing supporting documentation.
• Occasionally visit projects and perform cost analyses.
