COVE POINTS MARINE CONSTRUCTION INC is seeking a Marine Estimator in Edgewater, FL to prepare detailed cost estimates for marine projects. You will review specs, drawings, and bid docs, solicit subcontractor quotes, analyze risks, and support bid preparation and contract reviews.

The role requires marine estimating experience, ability to read technical drawings, and strong analytical skills. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in marine estimating or related field (or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine construction, vessel repair, shipyard operations, or marine services and be capable of preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of marine projects.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Analyze project risks and develop pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams.
• Assist with bid preparation, proposal development, and contract reviews.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost records.
• Support project handoff after contract award.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine estimating, marine construction, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of marine industry practices and terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
