Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Background check and drug screening access to shipyards.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Respirator qualification and PPE usage.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical work in related field.
• Minimum 5 years of shipboard experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and correct malfunctions.
• Test electrical systems and record data; modify test setups.
• Perform electrical work on ships, boats, and marine equipment.
• Repair wiring and restore power to ship engines/nav systems; secure work areas.
• Maintain records of engineering data such as tests; read drawings.
• Conduct QA testing and space closeouts; multi-meter usage.
• Layout and mount electrical enclosures and cable runs.
• Support safety programs and site surveys; familiar with NAVSEA standards.
