Job summary

Everett Ship Repair in Everett, WA is seeking an Experienced Marine Electrician to install, maintain, repair, and replace marine electrical and electronic systems on commercial vessels. You will read drawings, install wiring, test systems, and help diagnose complex electrical issues aboard workboats and passenger vessels.

This role requires knowledge of 480V 3‑phase systems, ability to work in confined spaces, and a WA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Ability to read specs, drawings, blueprints, and understand schedule constraints.
• Knowledge of shipyard safety practices and vessel terminology.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and outdoors with changing weather.
• Able to understand and perform basic mathematics.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience as General Maintenance Worker or similar with marine electrical knowledge.
• 2-3 years' experience with Electrical systems.
• Valid WA State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, schematics and electrical specs to plan installation.
• Install wiring, receptacles, boxes, feeders, and lighting.
• Lay out wireways and install cable trays and hangers.
• Test equipment for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Maintain and repair marine electrical motors, batteries and controls.
• Work on propulsion electrical systems.
• Calibrate instrumentation where required.
• Understand 480V 3-phase systems.
• Team-based problem solving.
• Perform other tasks as directed.
