Job summary

Everett Ship Repair in Everett, WA seeks a skilled Marine Electrician to own complex shipboard electrical maintenance and repair. You will read specs, install wiring, and verify propulsion-related controls on commercial workboats and passenger vessels.

This role requires hands-on expertise with 480V three‑phase power and a focus on safety and quality. The right candidate has 3+ years in marine electrical maintenance, 2–3 years with electrical systems, and a valid WA driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years as a General Maintenance Worker with marine electrical exposure.
  • 2–3 years working directly with electrical systems.
  • WA State driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Translate drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code into layouts and installations.
  • Install shipboard wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, feeders, coax, lighting, and related hardware.
  • Lay out wireways, cable trays, and hangers.
  • Test components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Service motors, generators, batteries, and controls supporting hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain electrical controls tied to main propulsion systems.
  • Install and verify electrohydraulic steering control functionality.
  • Install and calibrate industrial instrumentation when required.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair marine electrical/electromechanical systems.
  • Complete electrical fitting work: stud runs, cableways, controller mounts.
