Job summary

Kirby seeks a Marine Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair vessels at customer locations, on dock or at sea. You will handle engines, propulsion, electronics, and subassemblies, with strong diagnostic and repair skills and the ability to work on diverse equipment.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED with 3–7 years of related experience, and a clean driving record with a valid license. Proficiency with laptops and portable diagnostic tools is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and three to seven years related experience required.
• Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License required.
• Basic computer navigation and Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform complex and major mechanical repairs on customer vessels at dock or sea.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, engines, propulsion systems, electronics, and subassemblies.
• Identify, order, and replace parts needed for repairs and routine maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance following guidelines and schedules.
• Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety standards.
• Assist lower-level Marine Field Service Technicians as needed.
