Job summary

Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P) seeks a Senior Controls System Engineer to join our defense-focused team. You will design, test, and integrate marine control systems, including CAN bus feedback loops, PLC/HMI configurations, and electrical power generation/distribution.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in control systems, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and proven leadership. You will collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams while ensuring compliance with ABS and

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar required.
• 10+ years of control system design experience including CAN bus.
• Marine electrical knowledge covering power generation and distribution.
• Able to work unsupervised and lead small team.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, test and optimize marine control systems.
• Configure PLC and HMI systems per requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, sub-contractors, and vendors.
• Develop engineering deliverables and manage ECNs/ECRs.
• Ensure compliance with ABS and Mil-STD-973.
