Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator to identify, track, and prepare bids for marine construction and commercial diving projects.

The role leads technical and commercial development of competitive estimates up to substantial values across public and private clients. Success requires combined field and estimating experience in heavy civil and marine construction, with knowledge of marine means and methods and strong coordination of proposal teams from strategy to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience.
• 7+ years of total experience in field engineering and logistics.
• 5+ years of experience in marine construction preferred.
• Knowledge of heavy civil and/or marine construction around dams, bridges, docks, wharves.
• Experience directing crews and managing equipment on projects preferred.
• Experience estimating public and private sector projects up to $20 million.

Responsibilities

• Identify, track, and manage bids and proposal opportunities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates using estimating software.
• Lead technical bids and proposals from strategy through submission.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to validate assumptions and site conditions.
• Transition successful bids to active job status with handoffs to operations.
• Develop and implement process improvements to maintain a competitive edge.
• Maintain bid-folder documentation throughout the estimating process.
• Other duties as assigned.
