Job summary

Weeks Marine, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to collect data and compile production cost estimates in alignment with bid documents. The role is based in Weeks Construction Houston, TX office and requires extensive experience in heavy civil marine projects.

The Senior Estimator will analyze plans, visit sites, prepare take-offs, budgets, and cost analyses while coordinating with owners, designers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate bid submissions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Marine Construction.
• At least 3 years in estimating preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology/Management.
• Proficient skills in standard computer software packages.
• Fluent use of verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans and specifications.
• Perform site visits and meets with owners and designers if required.
• Prepare take-offs.
• Prepare budgetary estimates.
• Establishes means and methods of construction and performs engineering analyses to support.
• Prepare costs analysis for certain or all portions of the projects.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare construction schedule and perform cash-flow analyses.
• Close out bids and assist in preparation of supporting documentation.
• From time to time, visits projects, and prepares cost analyses.
