The role requires a background in scheduling within crude/fuel oil markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate under evolving conditions; office-based with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a scheduling role within appropriate commodity industries.
• Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, economics or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with trade capture, scheduling, finance, and risk management systems.
• Strong analytical, quantitative skills and accounting acumen.
• In-depth understanding of waterborne and pipeline operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for arranging all transportation requirements for the execution of trading activity.
• Develop comprehensive delivery schedule and communicate to key stakeholders on a daily basis.
• Assist in reviewing and improving processes for the department to optimize the company portfolio.
• Anticipates patterns and links; looks beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications.
• Works autonomously within established procedures while adding value with continuous improvement.
• Utilizing experience level to promote cross training and develop colleagues through knowledge sharing.
• Apply critical thinking for new and innovative solutions to complex operational problem solving.
• Ability to handle unexpected operational issues and provide guidance during off-peak hours.
