Job summary

US Coatings LLC is seeking a Quality Control/Assurance Administrator to elevate coatings quality to established Environmental, Health and Safety standards. The role analyzes customer requirements, investigates deviations, and supports improvements within the internal quality system.

The position involves on-site work in shipyards, coordinating with contracts teams, and ensuring traceability of actions. Strong communication and leadership in training are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in marine industrial coatings and blasting.
• Advanced knowledge of specialty marine coatings.
• Extensive knowledge of shipyard operations.
• Proficient communicator and comfortable with training and directing others.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer and regulatory requirements to assess their effect on the internal quality system.
• Study customer complaints, request quality deviation evidence from customers for analysis against expected quality standards, analyze production records against customer complaints, and conduct investigations where deviations occur.
• Resolve customer complaints, coordinating with key stakeholders; communicate full traceability and recommendations to contracts team at outcome of investigation.
• Visit customers to conduct on site investigation when appropriate.
• Conduct and/or support the implementation of health and safety and learning interventions with production and/or contracts team.
• Maintain compliance records; record investigation data within appropriate databases; gather traceability documentation for electronic storage.
• May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment onto or off ships.
• Coordinate the distribution and calibration of measuring equipment; retain and store calibration certification; and coordinate quality checks and third-party testing of material.
• Observe all safety rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
