Job summary
Apple is seeking a highly experienced engineer to lead manufacturing operations across multiple vendors and sites in Cupertino. You will drive pre-production readiness, develop production processes, and implement new technologies to boost quality, capacity and efficiency in high-volume production.
The role includes mentoring teams and communicating program health to VP-level stakeholders. Minimum BS in engineering with 3+ years in engineering/manufacturing; preferred MS and 7+ years in
Qualifications
- BS in related Engineering field
- 3+ years experience in engineering and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Technical lead for manufacturing operations at multiple vendors and sites.
- Driving contract manufacturer preparation for pre-production builds.
- Production process development, documentation, optimization and validation.
- Development and implementation of new technologies to improve production quality, capacity and efficiency.
- Sets standard practices and independently settles impact to design approaches and parameters to the final product.
- Provides direction, mentorship and resources to other engineering groups and project leaders as well as factory technicians.
- Act as lead engineer on a variety of projects and participates in the project planning of major sub-projects.
- Provide regular VP level communication of technical health of program.
