Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Cupertino is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to define quality, metrology and process requirements and shape how new manufacturing processes are designed from the ground up, enabling mass production of parts that meet ambitious specs.

In this role you will partner with tooling and functional teams, develop measurement technologies and control strategies, and drive actions to balance top quality with scalable yields across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience including supplier management and quality control.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
• BS in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Partner with tooling and functional teams to evaluate design and processes at concept phase.
• Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and manufacturing methods for large-scale production.
• Create and implement quality inspection tools for cosmetic and dimensional part characteristics.
• Compile and evaluate data to set limits and variables for process and part specifications.
• Lead activities to balance unparalleled quality with scalable yields.
• Coordinate and align quality assurance techniques across internal and external groups.
• Plan and expand the Quality Engineering team across programs.
