Job summary

Applied Materials in Austin, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to build, repair and test multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment. You’ll be responsible for assembling electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic components and performing audits and repairs as needed.

You will perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot and document progress, and install software to improve processes while working with test fixtures

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required.
• 2–4 years of semiconductor or display experience or equivalent military experience.
• Related technical trainings and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Use work orders and schematics to build, repair and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies and components.
• Perform a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Receive parts and perform audits; inspect parts for defects and improve processes.
• Use test fixtures, measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to test assemblies.
• Complete job documentation, data entry, and software installations as needed.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and support junior colleagues.
