Job summary

Carbon's Santa Clara, CA office seeks a Senior Production Systems/Test Engineer to own end-of-line troubleshooting, build robust test and bring-up processes, and raise production efficiency while ensuring products meet exacting standards.

You will collaborate with Design, Systems, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement corrective actions, develop KPI dashboards, and drive repeatable, scalable testing and validation for new products. This in-office role supports a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering required.
• 6+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical/optical systems.
• Experience with data analysis and MES tools for root cause.
• Ability to create KPI dashboards and provide actionable insights.
• Strong cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Own root cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical and optical systems, using data analysis and MES tools to identify, validate, and resolve issues at their source.
• Serve as a key technical resource for the production floor, rapidly unblocking manufacturing personnel and driving corrective actions to resolution.
• Partner with Design, Systems, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement corrective actions and drive process improvements.
• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track KPIs and communicate manufacturing trends.
• Lead Product Validation Testing (PVT) for new products, building robust bring-up and end-of-line test processes.
• Translate technical findings into updated work instructions and documentation to sustain fixes on the floor.
