Job summary

Zennsoft,Inc. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer specialized in automation and PLCs for our Holly Springs, NC site.

The role focuses on automating manufacturing processes using Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley and Siemens PLCs and integrating them with Emerson DeltaV systems. You will develop SCADA/HMI solutions, support validation activities, and work with process SMEs to translate requirements into robust automation implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 4 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience in GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Strong PLC design and programming skills across Rockwell and Siemens platforms.
• Experience with SCADA/HMI systems and OPC communications.
• Knowledge of GAMP/GMP, 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, and validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using PLCs from Allen‑Bradley and Siemens.
• Integrate PLC systems with Emerson DeltaV control environments.
• Develop and maintain SCADA, PLCs, and HMI applications.
• Assist with control-panel design, I/O mapping, grounding, and power distribution.
• Support standalone system implementation, startup, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with process SMEs to translate requirements into automation solutions.
• Support CSV/GxP validation activities and generate validation documentation.
• Maintain data integrity assessments and traceability across systems.
• Support capital projects and new drug-substance manufacturing technologies.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of automation issues.
• Support introduction of new technology and NPI activities.
• Provide 24x7 operational automation support.
