Cummins Inc. seeks a talented Senior Project Engineer to join the Manufacturing team at Morristown, TN. You will lead facility projects, optimize plant layouts, and collaborate with engineering, operations and safety teams to deliver manufacturing solutions that improve performance and safety.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, problem-solving, and the development of standardized work to sustain long-term operational success. On-site with relocation support.

Qualifications

• College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with facility projects and leading improvements to safety, quality, and productivity is expected.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings and use MS Office tools, including MS Project.
• Licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations may be required.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, safety and production teams to deliver manufacturing solutions and drive project execution.
• Communicate manufacturing requirements and project updates to stakeholders at all levels.
• Identify risks, promote safety excellence, and integrate health and ergonomic best practices into processes.
• Analyze and improve manufacturing methods, equipment, and workflows to boost quality and productivity.
• Develop production processes, tooling, fixtures and workstation layouts to meet product/customer needs.
• Apply manufacturing data and simulations to evaluate changes and support decisions.
• Lead root cause analysis to address production issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Create standardized work instructions to improve consistency and reliability.
