This role coordinates across equipment, automation, manufacturing, quality, and facilities to deliver safe, compliant, reliable, and scalable manufacturing solutions on the production floor, with a hybrid onsite/remote work model (4 days onsite).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Biomedical) required or related.
• 2–4 years of engineering experience (internships and co-op experience considered).
• PM certifications (PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering execution for capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept to production release.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Project Managers, Equipment SMEs, Programmers, Quality, Facilities, and Supply Chain to meet safety, quality, and operational objectives.
• Support project lifecycle activities such as FAT/SAT, validation, and documentation; spend time on the office and manufacturing floor while taking on increasing ownership.

Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer independently leads engineering implementation activities for strategic capital and manufacturing projects from planning through qualification and release. The role coordinates technical integration across equipment, automation, manufacturing, quality, and facilities while ensuring solutions are successfully implemented into production.

Responsibilities:

• Key responsibilities include engineering execution, manufacturing integration, change control and documentation, qualification/release readiness and technical problem solving. The Senior Project Engineer partners closely with Project Managers, Equipment SMEs, Programmers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, reliable, and scalable manufacturing solutions.
• The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production release. Working closely with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and external equipment suppliers, this role ensures projects are delivered on schedule while meeting safety, quality, and operational objectives.
• Support Project Managers in the execution of capital projects by coordinating project activities, tracking action items, and communicating with cross-functional teams. Attend project meetings, assist with equipment installations, FAT/SAT and validation activities, work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues, and maintain project documentation. The role will involve spending time both in the office and on the manufacturing floor while learning the project lifecycle and progressively taking ownership of project tasks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2-4 years of engineering experience (internships and co-op experience considered).
• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certifications are a plus but not required.

Preferred:

• Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based work.
• Experience working in a team environment through school projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools.
