Job summary

Abbott in Tipp City, OH is seeking a Process Engineer to implement and maintain plant equipment and fixed assets with a focus on safety, quality and productivity. The role supports all aspects of the operation within the Abbott Nutrition division, including leading capital projects and cross-functional collaboration.

You will provide engineering support, plan project phases, train plant staff, and ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies while contributing to manufacturing excellence

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering with a preference for Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience in engineering/project management or advanced education to achieve level of skill.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain plant equipment, systems and other fixed assets to a high standard of safety, quality and productivity at the lowest possible cost while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Provide engineering support to all aspects of the operation.
• Plan schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
• Direct the efforts of others such as technicians and outside resources. Interface with project team members, department managers, designers, R&D, Corporate and Division Engineering
• Provide technical training to plant personnel including engineering, equipment operators, electricians, instrument technicians, and maintenance.
