Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Production Control Planner to oversee the manufacturing build process, optimize inventory, and ensure customer requirements are met on schedule. The role requires coordinating with multiple departments to drive material flow and provide shop floor control on make parts.

The team works on Make/Buy/BOM planning within an MRP framework, maintaining schedule integrity and optimizing production capacity while navigating lead times and changes to BOMs.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control and material handling knowledge.
• Knowledge of SAP & SFM.
• Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Make, buy, and BOM planning activities for MRP transactions.
• Perform multiple manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions.
• Maintain production systems to optimize inventory and minimize cost.
• Expedite and optimize material flow to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and Operations Management for shop floor control, analyze and control production schedules and capacity, execute the plan.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Operations Management to plan procured parts and ensure deliverables meet schedule.
• Maintain MRP parameters including lead times and lot sizes; coordinate BOM changes with Engineering and Change Board.
