Job summary

Amy's Kitchen is seeking a 2nd shift Prep / Materials Handler to assist in preparing raw materials and WIPs for production. You will follow the shift lead, ensure proper labeling, and adhere to SOPs and GMP guidelines while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires basic math and reading skills and offers training and growth opportunities. Work includes standing for long periods, lifting up to 50-65 pounds, and potential overtime during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Must pass math and literacy tests.
• Basic math and reading ability required.
• Certified in batch sheet usage.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from Shift Lead, Lead Prep, Kitchen Supervisor or Kitchen Manager.
• Understand and follow all SOPs for Prep equipment and standard batching procedures.
• Ensure correct labeling and storage with proper description and weight per item.
• Check quality attributes of ingredients and report issues promptly.
• Comply with safety, GMP, and company policies; manage scale of duties per production schedule.
• Maintain daily Shift Reports and support during peak periods including overtime.
