Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Operations Lead at the Pueblo, Colorado facility to oversee Refurbishment processes for carbon brake components. The role requires hands-on leadership of a team, monitoring key process parameters, and driving Lean CORE manufacturing improvements.

You will coordinate with engineers and other departments to optimize equipment, safety, and cost, while supervising staff and managing medium-to-large projects (> $250k).

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience in managing and supervising operations teams in manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Continuous improvement tools (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc)

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and demonstrate effective leadership for the Refurbishment team operating with high standards and engagement to meet customer needs.
• Actively monitor key process parameters and take appropriate action when required.
• Perform statistical analyses to identify process and equipment trends and take action.
• Work with other departments and engineers to improve equipment, processes, safety, and cost savings.
• Supervise several support staff and production personnel.
• Oversite on projects and monitor production requirements.
• Propose and manage medium-large scale projects (>$250k) at the moderate to complex level.
• Ensure department documentation is clear and accurate (SOP’s, work instructions, engineering forms, etc.)
• Drive CORE (Lean) manufacturing processes through flow and automation improvements.
• Monitor engineering requests through equipment and processes.
• Take an active role in meeting department and site CORE.
