Job description

About the Role

Eagle Wireless is the only Western-aligned provider of IoT and automotive connectivity modules, with
operations across North America, Europe, and APAC. We deliver secure, high-performance connectivity for
automotive and IoT markets, backed by U.S.-based manufacturing and global engineering expertise.
Featured in the Wall Street Journal. $44M raised. Growing fast.

We are standing up our new production facility in Solon, Ohio. You own IT on the ground: the plant network,
the production-line PCs, the infrastructure behind the manufacturing data our automotive customers audit,
and the daily systems for a fast-growing site. You are the first IT hire in Ohio. You work embedded with the
manufacturing team every day, backed by a global IT team in Minneapolis, Belgrade, and Penang.

How we work matters. Decisions and systems live in Confluence. Work is tracked in Jira. The standard is
simple: a teammate in another time zone can pick up where you left off. We hire people who communicate
before being asked.

  • The plant. Build the factory network: structured cabling coordination, switching, firewall, Wi-Fi, and a
separated production (OT) network for line equipment, all to Eagle’s documented standards. Delivery
is phased. Packaging and production lines come first. SMT follows when the facility’s power upgrade
    lands.
  • The production systems. Windows PCs drive our SMT, test, inspection, and packaging equipment. You
own imaging, licensing, uptime, and lifecycle. On a factory floor the line always wins. You plan
maintenance around production, not the other way around.
  • The manufacturing data infrastructure. Our software team owns the MES and traceability data our
automotive customers audit. You own the systems underneath it: SQL Server databases, backup and
retention, the data pipelines customers request, and the uptime and integrity of the platforms the
data lives on. When an auditor asks for records, the systems answer.
  • The site. Endpoints, onboarding, and day‑one readiness across the factory, the CO‑AX production
facility, and Cleveland HQ, using Eagle’s Intune and M365 playbooks.
  • Physical and compliance systems. Door access, cameras, and the systems behind Foreign‑Trade Zone
operations and IATF 16949 quality documentation, in partnership with Quality and Manufacturing.
The record. Site documentation, runbooks, and network pages in Confluence. Work tracked in Jira. If it
isn’t written down, it doesn’t exist.
Required Qualifications
  • A collaborator first. You will spend more time with manufacturing, quality, and operations people than
with IT people. You build trust across functions. You hear a production problem and translate it into a
systems answer. The factory team is your partner, not a ticket queue.
  • A strong written communicator. We run a global team across time zones. Status, decisions, and
documentation land in writing, clearly, without being chased.
  • 5+ years in IT infrastructure or systems engineering, with real time in a manufacturing or production
environment. You know the difference between an office PC and a machine that stops a line.
  • Windows depth: client and server administration, SQL Server fundamentals, backup and recovery, and
endpoint management with Intune or similar.
  • Networking fundamentals: VLANs, firewalls, switching, Wi‑Fi, and the judgment to keep production
equipment segmented from the corporate network.
  • Self‑direction. You are the IT presence on site. You set your priorities against the plant’s, and you
    escalate early.
  • Our interview includes a design exercise. We give you a real problem from this buildout. You show us
your approach. Certifications are welcome; demonstrated ability is required.
What We Offer

You are the first IT hire at a company building its manufacturing future in Ohio. The site grows and your
scope grows with it. We won’t promise a title track we haven’t built yet. We will promise real ownership,
hard problems, and a company that advances the people who deliver.

Compensation and Benefits

  • 401(k) program coming in 2026.
  • Paid time off.
