Job summary

Eagle Wireless, Inc. in Solon, OH is seeking an MES Software Engineer to join the Software Team. You will develop and extend the in‑house MES, integrating production equipment and linking manufacturing data with operations and fulfillment systems.

You will work on end‑to‑end traceability and collaborate with global teams on manufacturing challenges. The role involves deploying and maintaining MES services, building operator tools, and collaborating on process improvements on the production floor

Qualifications

  • 0–5 years of software development experience, including production systems.
  • Experience designing and working with relational databases.
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations between systems.
  • Data modeling experience, ideally for traceability, inventory, or transactional systems.
  • Experience supporting live systems where downtime has a business impact.
  • Ability to work from limited documentation and make design decisions independently.
  • Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly.
  • Interest in manufacturing and working hands-on with production equipment.
  • MES, manufacturing, industrial, or embedded software experience.
  • Electronics manufacturing environments.
  • ERP integration.
  • Production metrics and reporting.
  • Internship, co‑op, or project experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement traceability across work orders, serial numbers, parts, lots, and material consumption.
  • Integrate MES data with operations, fulfillment, and ERP systems.
  • Maintain production databases, including schema changes, data retention, and backups.
  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot MES services.
  • Build operator‑facing tools for job setup and production preparation.
  • Work on the production floor with operators and manufacturing staff to understand processes and resolve issues.

Join our internal software team to develop and extend our in‑house Manufacturing Execution System (MES). You’ll work directly with our electronics manufacturing line to integrate production equipment, build end‑to‑end product traceability, and connect manufacturing data with operations and fulfillment systems.
