Job summary

MACOM designs and manufactures semiconductor products for Data Center, Telecommunication and Industrial and Defense applications. MACOM seeks a Manufacturing Equipment Technician for the Lowell fab to perform repair, maintenance and continuous improvement across multiple process areas on 12‑hour night shifts.

The role requires experience in semiconductor fabrication and the ability to work in a clean room setting.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing semiconductor fabrication equipment.
• Able to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Capable of handling toxic and reactive chemicals and gases.
• Able to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Executes operation, repair, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, adjustments and modifications to insure max uptime of processing equipment with minimal supervision.
• Assists Engineering in commissioning of new fabrication equipment.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair systems.
• Maintains records, reports, pass downs, parts inventory and ordering.
• Leads or assists in investigating and resolving equipment-related process problems.
• Drives safe practices within the factory and supports site safety policies.
• Works in clean room environment wearing appropriate garments.
• Learns independently; can be trained by others; manages time by priorities.
• Communicates day-to-day events and repairs through logs and pass downs.
• Performs in a changing environment with teamwork to meet production goals.
• Influences and supports others to succeed; travel for external training as needed.
• Supports production and engineering in alignment with customer-oriented goals.
