Job summary

MACOM, a global semiconductor leader, seeks a mid to senior level Manufacturing Equipment Technician for the RTP fab. You will perform repair, maintenance, and continuous improvement across diffusion, etch, deposition, lithography, and related processing equipment.

The role requires 5+ years in semiconductor repair with strong electrical/mechanical skills, cleanroom work, and the ability to travel for external training. Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7pm–7am, with 5x8 orientation.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in semiconductor fab repair and maintenance.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize for production needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, maintenance, and preventive tasks to maximize uptime.
• Assist engineering in commissioning new fabrication equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair systems.
• Maintain records, pass downs, and parts inventory.
• Promote safe work practices and wear clean room garments.
