Job summary

MACOM is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Technician for compressed night shifts in Durham, NC. The role covers operation, repair, and preventive maintenance of processing equipment with 7pm–7am shifts on Sundays through Tuesday and alternating Saturdays.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of semiconductor fab repair experience, with electronics or mechanics education preferred. Travel for training may be required; ITAR applies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of semiconductor fab repair and maintenance experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Able to work on multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize for production needs.

Responsibilities

• Executes operation, repair, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and modifications to maximize up-time.
• Assists Engineering in commissioning new fabrication equipment.
• Uses test/diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair systems.
• Maintains records, passdowns, and parts inventory.
