Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support operations on-site. You will work with Cell Leads, Supervisors, and Engineers to optimize manufacturing costs, time standards, and tooling needs for new and existing products.

Responsibilities include developing processes, writing work instructions, conducting readiness reviews, and ensuring quality control standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 2 years relevant experience; or Master’s degree.
• Solid understanding of standard engineering principles and methods in completing technical assignments.
• Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude; proficiency in MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-the-floor technical support with Cell Leads, Supervisors, and Engineers.
• Troubleshoot and remediate manufacturing processes to ensure throughput.
• Develop and update manufacturing processes; determine testing and inspection requirements.
• Create and maintain work instructions, routings and process documentation.
• Identify and improve manufacturing processes to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
• Analyze designs for manufacturability and collaborate on process enablement.
