Job summary

The Timken Company’s Aurora Bearing facility in Illinois is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead efforts to improve product quality, optimize engineering systems, deliver capital projects, and mentor the engineering team.

You will partner with plant operations to translate business goals into measurable objectives, review drawings for manufacturability, apply CAD/CAE tools, and drive cost reductions while ensuring safe, producible solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with CAD/CAE and tooling evaluations.
• Experience managing capital projects and spending.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant business planning to translate goals into engineering objectives.
• Lead a team reviewing drawings, providing manufacturability recommendations, and managing capital projects.
• Apply CAD/CAE tools to analyze, develop process layouts, and evaluate tooling for new products.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and product engineering to define capabilities, tolerances, and cycle times.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives through process improvements.
• Provide technical support to customers, ensuring safe, producible solutions.
• Lead talent management to retain contributors and develop future leaders.
