Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd. seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to take ownership of engineering activities in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing setting.

You will supervise a team of engineers and technicians, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on new product launches. The role requires strong leadership, a background in metals manufacturing, and a proven track record in managing projects, budgets, and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's considered with strong experience.
• At least five years in a manufacturing engineering management role with strong manufacturing/process engineering background.
• Experience in metals environments or Tier I/II automotive supplier environments.
• Strong continuous improvement background with measurable scrap reductions and efficiency gains.
• Experience supervising direct reports and project management (timelines and budgets).
• Experience with product launches and reading blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor the engineering team, including Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and KPI development.
• Own new product launch engineering activities and timelines.
• Resolve floor-level engineering concerns on the manufacturing floor.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, suppliers, and contractors.
• Standardize engineering processes and operating procedures.
• Monitor department labor utilization and resource allocation.
• Apply Lean methods and data-driven problem solving to projects.
• Direct capital equipment projects, costs, ROI, and vendor vetting.
• Collaborate with design team on fixture/tool concepts.
